NYC Admin Code § 28-1001.1 (New York City Energy Conservation Code)
NYC Administrative Code § 28-1001.1 ("Adoption of the New York City Energy Conservation Code") adopts the New York State energy code, with New York City amendments, as the New York City Energy Conservation Code (NYCECC), setting the minimum energy-efficiency requirements for the design, construction, and alteration of buildings. Under the 2025 NYCECC update (adopted via Local Law 47 of 2026), applications filed on or after March 30, 2026 are subject to the 2025 NYCECC, while complete applications filed on or before March 29, 2026 remain under the 2020 NYCECC.
