California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) / California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) opt-out
Under the CCPA / CPRA, California residents have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of their personal information. Several other state privacy laws (CPA, CTDPA, VCDPA, TDPSA, OCPA) grant similar rights.
RegWatch aggregates publicly recorded property data. Property reports that include owner-of-record names from public records may, under a broad reading of state privacy laws, qualify as a “sale” or “share” of personal information when sold to a customer who has no direct relationship with the owner.
Submit this form to record your opt-out. Once recorded, your account is flagged with data_broker_opt_out = 1 and we will not include your personal information in derived datasets we share with third parties (excluding public-record disclosures required by law).
Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends the Sec-GPC: 1 request header, we automatically record an opt-out cookie + (when you’re signed in) flag your account. You don’t need to fill out this form if your browser already sends GPC.
You may submit this request through an authorized agent. The agent must provide written authorization, and we may require verification before processing.
RegWatch does not collect “Sensitive Personal Information” as defined in CPRA §1798.140(ae) — we do not collect SSNs, financial account numbers, biometrics, precise geolocation, or contents of private communications. The CPRA “Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information” right therefore does not apply to your relationship with RegWatch. If this changes, we’ll add a separate limit form.
