SC Sanitary Code Article 6 (Sewage Disposal / I/A OWTS)

Suffolk County Sanitary Code, Article 6 (§§ 760-601 et seq.)

Suffolk County Department of Health Services regulation (Article 6 of the Suffolk County Sanitary Code) requiring prior Department approval of water supply and sewage disposal facilities before any single-family residence, realty subdivision, development, or other construction project may be created, sold, leased, or built (§760-604), and continuing lot-size and Population Density Equivalent requirements. For Construction Project applications submitted on or after July 1, 2021, the Article mandates installation of a nitrogen-reducing Innovative/Alternative Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (I/A OWTS) for new construction and major reconstruction.
