Conn. Gen. Stat. § 20-417k
A new home construction contract is not valid or enforceable against a consumer unless it is in writing; is signed by both the contractor and the consumer; contains the entire agreement; contains the date of the transaction; contains the contractor's name and address and registration number; contains a starting and completion date; is entered into by a registered new home construction contractor; and includes a provision disclosing each legal entity that is or has been a new home construction contractor under chapter 399a in which the contractor's owner(s) have been a shareholder, member, partner, or owner during the previous five years. Any change in the contract's terms must also be in writing and signed by both parties, and the contractor must deliver a completed copy of the contract to the consumer without charge at execution.
