NYC Zoning Resolution citywide text amendment, "City of Yes for Housing Opportunity" (DCP application N 240290 ZRY), adopted by the NYC Council Dec. 5, 2024
A citywide amendment to the NYC Zoning Resolution (DCP application N 240290 ZRY) adopted by the City Council and effective December 5, 2024, widely described as the largest comprehensive zoning overhaul since the 1961 Zoning Resolution and intended to enable incremental housing growth in every neighborhood. It includes vesting provisions allowing a project to proceed under prior zoning regulations if its application was filed with the Department of Buildings on or before December 5, 2024 and approved by DOB on or before December 5, 2025.
