NYC Zoning Resolution Articles VIII–XIV (Special Purpose Districts)
Articles VIII through XIV of the NYC Zoning Resolution establish the purposes and tailored use, bulk, and design regulations for the City's Special Purpose Districts, which modify the underlying district rules for specific geographic areas (for example, the Special Flushing Waterfront District in Article XII, Chapter 7). Development within a special district must comply with that district's specific provisions in addition to applicable citywide zoning rules.
