Certificate of occupancy approval

Conn. Agencies Regs. § 29-292-9e

This Connecticut State Fire Safety Code administrative regulation requires the local fire marshal to certify in writing to the local building official, prior to occupancy of any building, structure, or use subject to the code, that it is in substantial compliance with the requirements of the code. Because of the 30-day permit-decision limit in CGS § 29-263, the fire marshal must notify the building official of the degree of compliance within that timeframe.
