40 CFR Part 112
Requires owners and operators of non-transportation-related onshore and offshore facilities with aggregate aboveground oil storage capacity above the regulatory threshold (more than 1,320 U.S. gallons, counting only containers of 55 gallons or larger), or completely buried capacity over 42,000 gallons, that due to their location could reasonably be expected to discharge oil into navigable waters or adjoining shorelines, to prepare and implement a written Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan. The plan must address spill prevention, secondary containment, inspections, and countermeasures. Bunkered tanks, partially buried tanks, and containers in vaults are considered aboveground storage containers for purposes of this part.
