N.Y.C. Admin. Code § 25-303
N.Y.C. Admin. Code § 25-303 authorizes the Landmarks Preservation Commission, after a public hearing, to designate landmarks, landmark sites, interior landmarks, scenic landmarks, and historic districts. Such designations are subject to review by the City Council (which may modify or disapprove them), and once a property is designated it becomes subject to the certificate-of-appropriateness, minor-work, and maintenance-and-repair requirements found elsewhere in Title 25, Chapter 3 (e.g., §§ 25-307, 25-310, 25-311).
