Town Subdivision/Plat Approval (§276)

N.Y. Town Law § 276

Authorizes a town board, by resolution, to empower the planning board to review and approve preliminary and final subdivision plats for land in the part of the town outside any incorporated village, and to review development of previously filed but largely undeveloped plats (those where 20% or more of the lots are unimproved). Establishes procedures for a public hearing on the preliminary plat (held within 62 days after receipt of a complete preliminary plat), conditional and final approval, coordination with the State Environmental Quality Review Act (ECL Article 8), and filing of the approved final plat with the county clerk within 62 days of final approval.
