LRHL Adoption of Redevelopment Plan

N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-7

Provides that no redevelopment project shall be undertaken or carried out except in accordance with a redevelopment plan adopted by ordinance of the municipal governing body, upon its finding that the delineated project area is located in an area in need of redevelopment or in an area in need of rehabilitation. The redevelopment plan must indicate its relationship to definite local objectives as to appropriate land uses, proposed land uses and building requirements in the project area, its relationship to the State Development and Redevelopment Plan, and any property proposed to be acquired. The plan supersedes applicable provisions of the municipality's development regulations or otherwise constitutes an overlay zoning district within the redevelopment area.
