N.J.A.C. 5:70-2.6
Requires owners of life hazard uses (under the NJ Uniform Fire Code) to file a registration application on forms provided by the Commissioner, including applicant name/address/telephone, an appointed agent for service of process, and a use description covering the building location, building height, floor area, and a description of the processes carried out or materials stored that make the use registrable (with occupancy capacity required for public assembly uses). It is a Code violation to fail to complete and return the application within 30 days of receiving it, and a new owner must file an application within 30 days of any transfer of ownership; non-compliance is followed by a written order and, if uncured within 30 days, a $500 penalty per registration.
