N.J.A.C. 5:70-2.5
Requires periodic fire-safety inspections of all life hazard uses for compliance with the Uniform Fire Code. Inspection frequency is set by use type, ranging from once every three months (Types Ca-Ci and Da-Dc) to once every 12 months (Types Aa-Aj and Ba-Bq), with day nurseries/daycare centers permitted to hold 100 or more inspected every six months. Upon completion, the local enforcing agency issues a certificate of inspection, which is not issued until all cited violations are corrected and which the owner must post conspicuously.
