N.J.A.C. 5:23-2.18
Requires the construction official and subcode officials to perform inspections during the progress of work to confirm that construction conforms to the Uniform Construction Code. The owner or other responsible person in charge of the work must notify the enforcing agency in writing when work is ready for any required inspection, given at least 24 hours before the desired inspection time, and inspections are to be performed within three business days. Specifies mandatory inspection points including footing/foundation, structural framing and rough work, insulation (after all other rough inspections), fire-protection (fire suppression and detection/alarm) systems for buildings other than one- and two-family dwellings, and a final inspection.
