12 CFR Part 1002 (Regulation B)
Implements the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, prohibiting creditor discrimination against credit applicants on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age, receipt of public assistance income, or good-faith exercise of any right under the Consumer Credit Protection Act, in any aspect of a credit transaction. Requires creditors to notify applicants of action taken on their applications (including adverse-action notices), to provide applicants copies of appraisals and other written valuations developed in connection with applications for credit secured by a first lien on a dwelling, and to retain credit application records.
