This DCWP rule (6 RCNY § 5-625) implements the NYC Tenant Screening Report Disclosure law (Admin. Code §§ 20-807 to 20-811). It requires a sign to be conspicuously posted at any business location whose principal purpose is conducting residential rental transactions, stating whether tenant screening reports are used and listing the name and address of every consumer reporting agency used, and informing prospective tenants that they are entitled to one free tenant screening report annually from each reporting agency and may dispute inaccurate information directly with the reporting agency.
