N.Y. Executive Law § 378(5-d)
Executive Law § 378(5-d), enacted by Chapter 541 of the Laws of 2014 ("Steven Nelson's Law") and effective June 27, 2015, directs the State Fire Prevention and Building Code Council to require the owner of every building containing one or more restaurants and the owner of every commercial building in the state to install and maintain operable carbon monoxide detecting devices meeting standards set by the Council, but only where the building has appliances, devices or systems that may emit carbon monoxide or has an attached garage.
Pin a building and we'll surface every amendment, effective-date change, and filing deadline as it happens.
