Fire Code of New York State (2025 edition), Chapter 11 — incorporated by reference at 19 NYCRR Part 1225

Chapter 11 of the Fire Code of New York State (the FCNYS, incorporated by reference statewide outside New York City via 19 NYCRR Part 1225) sets minimum fire-safety requirements for existing buildings and structures regardless of when constructed, per Table 1103.1 and Sections 1103-1105: automatic sprinkler systems (1103.5), standpipes (1103.6), fire alarm systems (1103.7), single- and multiple-station smoke alarms (1103.8), and means-of-egress requirements for existing buildings (1104). The current edition is the 2025 FCNYS, effective December 31, 2025.
