Rules of the Nassau County Assessment Review Commission (adopted Sept. 29, 2003; approved by Nassau County Legislature Res. 365-2003 on Dec. 8, 2003; effective Jan. 1, 2004)
The Commission's own procedural rules implementing RPTL § 523-b. Rule 3.1 makes the sole procedure the application for correction of an assessment; Rule 3.2 fixes the filing window from the first business day in January until the first business day in March; later rules define economic units (Rule 6), prescribe the application forms AR 1, AR 2, and AR 3 (Rule 4) and supporting documentation (Rule 16), and govern Commission review (Rule 18) and determinations (Rule 19). Applications are filed with the Department of Assessment at 240 Old Country Road, Mineola.
