Hartford Fair Rent

Hartford Municipal Code Ch. 16 (Fair Rent Commission)

Hartford does not have rent control, but the Fair Rent Commission hears tenant complaints of excessive increases (>5% as of 2022, or "unconscionable" under CGS § 7-148b). Commission can order reduced rent. Covers most rental units in the city.
