Carroll Gardens is a charming residential neighborhood in northwest Brooklyn, distinguished by its unusually deep front gardens (30-40 feet) that give the neighborhood its name. Originally an Italian-American enclave, Carroll Gardens retains its community character while attracting young families drawn to the brownstones, excellent restaurants, and neighborhood feel.
